How does it work?
- A physician will transfer patient medical data from an existing EMR system to TELUS health space. Typical data includes immunizations, allergies, medications, height and weight, symptoms, precautions, pre-existing conditions and medical history.
- Patients have secure access to check their status at all times and add their own monitoring data from portable devices such as body scales, blood pressure cuffs, and glucose monitors.
- Following an appointment, health care practitioners can simply add new information to TELUS health space. These updates can then be shared with patients and other healthcare professionals. Patients can also upload new health information to the same centralized space and share their information with authorized individuals.
